Second Intellectual Output “MANUAL FOR YOUTH WORKERS”

Project: “Young managers of the effective career development”

№ 2016-2-BG01-KA205-023931 under the Erasmus + Program

The “Manual for youth workers” aims to provide young people with a real opportunity to increase their employability with a view to sustainable labor market integration, thus increasing the overall employment of young people.

The guide is a product of the four-year experience of non-formal educators for young people and adults. The guidance has been developed by all partners together. Preparation of auxiliary materials for trainees / youth workers: training scenarios, simulations, interactive methods are included.

Leader of this activity Aktyvus Jaunimas Lithuania Association, which has extensive experience in developing activities / seminars / methods for teaching managerial and entrepreneurial skills for young people, as well as providing other know-how needed in career development. The material includes guidelines on how to involve young people and become officially certified as professional competence trainers. It also gives specific tips. For instance, when to keep the atmosphere more formal/relaxed. Further comes the requirements. These concern such thing as: the venue required, recommended number of people, how much time it will take and anything else of importance. Lastly, the learning fields and concrete outcomes are listed. This helps both the youth worker (trainer), as well as the participating young (as they will be aware of the potential new skills/competences to be learned).

The materials are the basis of Short Term Training, which took place in Poland 26 February – 02 March 2018. Within 5 days of training, participants exchanged experience and knowledge about practices as they established their skills in the VCC system to become official trainers.

In order for the project product to be widely disseminated, the Guide is translated into national languages to all project partners – Bulgarian, Italian, Polish, Romanian, Lithuanian (http://ymec.eu/platform/ ).
